The sands of life are changing, shifting as I age.
New opportunities are open as others begin to fade.
In one door, out another, as I trail out to sea
Searching for travel adventures seeking out those that love me.
Like summer - days are getting shorter
My horizon is in view.
The sun is in its zenith, my life has a new and different hue.
Yes the sands of life are changing, my grandchildren gather round
I reach my arms wide open letting go of what I have lost, embracing what I’ve found
The sun is in its zenith, the moon’s face growing near
Heaven is but a hands breath as the sands shift into a slower, simpler gear.
